No to Israeli Minister Lieberman's visit to Switzerland

No to Israeli Minister Lieberman's visit to Switzerland.
21/04/2012

Rights For All denounces the visit of Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman who will be received Tuesday, April 24 in Bern, by the new head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Didier Burkhalter.
Avigdor Lieberman has been spreading his ultranationalist and racist positions against Palestinians for years. He advocates the transfer of territories and Palestinian population out of Palestine. These positions are unacceptable.

Avigdor Lieberman is a part of the Israeli right-wing coalition that refuses to recognize the legitimate rights of Palestinians to their land.

Liberman and his services have a destructive policy including:
- Continuing the inhumane blockade imposed on Gaza and the colonization of the West Bank and Jerusalem.
- Cultivating a regime of discrimination and hateful apartheid against Palestinians.
- Strengthening the settlements and demolishing Palestinian neighborhoods making a social and economic life impossible.
- Imprisoning Palestinian men, women and children by thousands. Furthermore, more than 1,600 Palestinian prisoners began a hunger strike this week to protest against prison conditions practiced in Israeli jails.
Rights For All states that receiving Avigdor Lieberman in Switzerland, depositary of the Geneva Conventions, is a scandal, a shame. The DFA takes a position that goes against international law by giving legitimacy to a murderer thus encouraging Israeli leaders to continue their colonial crimes.
Rights for All calls for mobilization to protest against the visit on

Tuesday, April 24 in Bern

at 2pm

Bundesplatz, in front of the arch of the Bernese Cantonal Bank

Rights For All recalls that there will be no Middle East peace until justice has been made to the Palestinian people. This must go with the application of international law, namely the United Nations resolutions. We must also ask the UN, the governors of the European Union and Switzerland, to exert all their strength to:
1. Call for the end the massacre of the Palestinian people and the blockade which condemns them to a slow death.
2. Send an international force to protect Palestinian civilians and the Arab minority in Galilee.
3. Enforce United Nations resolutions concerning the right of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and to recover their property, the withdrawal of occupying forces from all occupied territories, including Jerusalem (Al Quds) and the declaration of an independent, sovereign state of Palestine.

Right For All is very concerned about the extent of violence and the phase of stagnation that the Syrian war has entered.

The Syrian conflict has lasted for months and caused thousands of deaths, including many children.

Right For All condemns decidedly and without appeal all the violence that targets civilians and calls on the conflicting parties to cease any threat to the physical integrity of civilians, especially children.

Gaza under attacks !

In less than 24 hours, there were more than a dozen dead and hundreds injured, many of them are children.
Reportedly, more than 150 places have been bombed.

We are witnessing, again, the bombing of Gaza (Palestine) and of a defenseless population already devastated by the blockade without any reaction from the international community. Thus, the Israeli government, for purely electoral calculations, once again violates international law and practices state terrorism. The army of occupation has shown by this barbaric act that it has no limits.

Right For All condemns all kind of violence against civilian people.

Right for All calls upon all citizens and human rights organizations and international law defenders to a rally on Saturday, November 17, at 2 pm, Place des Nations, Geneva.
