Right For All: 2011 Activity Report
Introduction:
2011: Right for All, in the heart of the Arab Spring
The year 2011 was an eventful year for Right For All. A year for the Arab world, the year 2011 has upset the balance of power at regional and global levels. So Right for All should be at the heart of this awakening, this new area, and raise the claims of popular aspirations for freedom and democracy.
Tunisia, Bahrain, Egypt, Yemen, Libya and Syria all have known or know in the case of Syria major changes that will result in profound changes. Right For All, faithful to its values and humanistic goals against injustice around the world, could not remain on the sidelines of these events and is, therefore, committed to defending the Arab people against the dictatorial regimes and to supporting the process of democratization. This support to the struggling peoples will lead to a strengthening of the Palestinian struggle against the Israeli violations of human rights.
Palestine, in the heart of the revolts, is both a factor and a goal for the popular demands. “Palestine, here we come!” is the slogan repeated by all peoples, underlining their commitment to the Palestinian issue at the center of their new policy. Promoting freedom of the Arab citizens, very sensitive to the Palestinian cause, can only lead to a rebalancing of power internationally.
For all these reasons, Rights For All has increased outreach activities, and lobbying pressure to respond to this hunger for freedom.
