Bientôt un bateau suisse pour Gaza
Un bateau suisse rejoindra les rangs de la flottille de la « campagne européenne pour mettre fin au siège de Gaza » (Save Gaza) d'ici la fin de l'année. Le départ, initialement prévu à la fin juillet, a été repoussé pour poursuivre la récolte de fonds.
« Nous enregistrons déjà 450 personnes désireuses de s'embarquer sur le bateau que nous affrétons », a déclaré lundi Anouar Gharbi, président de l'organisation non gouvernementale genevoise Droit pour tous, à l'origine du projet suisse.
Anouar Gharbi, qui officie par ailleurs comme coordinateur de la campagne européenne, a ajouté que « l'arrivée de nouveaux partenaires suite à une réunion de Save Gaza à Stockholm avait eu un impact sur les délais". Le départ aurait notamment été repoussé pour permettre aux nouveaux arrivants d'intégrer l'expédition.
Quelque 220 ONG helvétiques soutiennent le projet, par des messages de soutien ou la récolte de fonds. Les députés Joseph Zisyadis (Parti du travail et Carlo Sommaruga (Parti socialiste) ainsi que le chanteur Michel Bühler
